This is part 3 of a series of articles that will walk you through how to maximize your revenue potential on our platform.
It’s time to take the third step towards earning more money with “Meeting Rooms”.
Allow your corporate customers to book their rooms and reserve their meeting room slots at the same time. This feature is not intended to supplant your MICE department but it does make reserving a meeting room as easy as possible and gets the conversation going. So how do you get started?
- Meeting rooms are part of your facilities and can be marked as bookable on iko.travel.
- Create your meeting rooms in our Extranet. Our platform supports a wide variety of meeting room configurations and amenities.
- Mark the meeting room as bookable and give it an hourly rate.
- Upload some pictures and videos.
- Any meeting room reservations that accompany a room booking will show up on your booking record and be available in your Meeting Room calendar. There you will be able to manage your meeting room slots further.
- You are done!
A great use case is when your hotel does not have a dedicated MICE department but you do have a couple of meeting rooms available on your property. By showing corporate travelers that you can support their needs, you immediately become more attractive to would-be buyers who are looking for facilities such as this.
Remember: One part of this exercise is to showcase all that your property has available. The second part is to convert that into earning more money.
Rate better when your profile includes facilities
We like that you give travelers more reasons to visit your hotel and we will feature you better across all our sales channels when you do. Your property is NOT featured better based on your commission. Your property only gets featured better when you add more value. More reasons for guests to visit to your property.
