This is part 4 of a series of articles that will walk you through how to maximize your revenue potential on our platform.
It’s time to take the fourth step towards earning more money with “Restaurants”.
Allow your guests to book their rooms and a prix fixe reservation for two at one of your restaurants, at the same time. This feature is not intended to supplant Opentable, or any of the other online restaurant booking platforms, BUT it does allow for bundling a room with a special restaurant visit and it gets the conversation going. So how do you get started?
- Restaurants are part of your facilities and can be marked as bookable on iko.travel.
- Create your restaurants in our Extranet. Our platform supports a wide variety of restaurant cuisines and amenities.
- Mark the restaurant as bookable and set a prix fixe price.
- If you want our sellers to try to sell the bundle for you, make sure you mark the restaurant as commissionable.
- Upload some pictures and videos.
- Any restaurant reservations that accompany a room booking will show up on your booking record and be available in your Restaurant calendar. There you will be able to manage your restaurant reservations further.
- You are done!
It’s a great idea to create a memorable dining occasion that 1: Gives guests an incentive to book a restaurant reservation along with the room and 2. To differentiate the dining occasion from your normal offers on other food platforms. Give your guests the feeling of exclusivity with a touch of adventure. Show them something you specialize in. It can be location, cuisine or preparation… or a combination of all. The better you become at knowing what distinguishes you from the competition and upselling your customers, the better your profit margin will be at the end of the month.
Remember: One part of this exercise is to showcase all that your property has available. The second part is to convert that into earning more money.
Rate better when your profile includes facilities
We like that you give travelers more reasons to visit your hotel and we will feature you better across all our sales channels when you do. Your property is NOT featured better based on your commission. Your property only gets featured better when you add more value. More reasons for guests to visit to your property. Spend your time creating your profile.
