It’s time to take the fourth step towards earning more money with “Spas”. 

Allow your guests to book a spa treatment or fitness session as part of their room booking. By bundling your unforgettable spa facilities with one of your equally stunning rooms, you offer something new, enticing and different. Most importantly, it gets the conversation started in a room, full of excited travelers that, until now, have been focused on the cheapest room type. So how do you get started?

  1. Spas are part of your facilities and can be marked as bookable on iko.travel.
  2. Create your spas in our Extranet. Our platform supports a wide variety of spa types and amenities.
  3. Mark the spa as bookable and set a price users can use to book a session / hour. Keep it simple. The goal is to get the customer through the door at a higher price point. You can always upsell on premises. If your spa offers a lot of different varieties of services, we recommend creating two different spa entries with different text and pictures so you can elegantly sell, and put emphasis on, all your great services.
  4. If you want our sellers to try to sell the bundle for you, make sure you mark the spa as commissionable.
  5. Upload some pictures and videos.
  6. Any spa reservations that accompany a room booking will show up on your booking record and be available in your Spa calendar. There, you will be able to manage your spa reservations further.
  7. You are done!

Example

Spas are as varied as the night sky and not one spa is identical to another. That is a selling point and works to your advantage. Create a great spa package at a good price and get it out there! A spa is one of those few places where a customer is less cost conscious because the experience IS about pampering the self or a loved one. If you have a “pamper-tastic” offer that’s pricey it’s OK… don’t be shy. This is about differentiation more than anything else. Remember, a great picture here speaks a thousand words. You also want to get your customer in your spa before they leave your property and go looking for off-premises spas. An unforgettable pamper session should always be on your spa menu. Give your guests the feeling of exclusivity with a touch of luxury. Show them something you specialize in. It can be location, trainer / masseuse, special spa products… or a combination of all. The better you become at knowing what distinguishes you from the competition and upselling your customers, the better your profit margin will be at the end of the month.

Remember: One part of this exercise is to showcase all that your property has available. The second part is to convert that into earning more money.
